I am committed to helping people achieve the meaningful and fulfilling lives they deserve. I believe that each person is inherently unique and beautiful, and that mental health struggles often reflect natural and brave responses to past abnormal or traumatic events. Instead of pathologizing these experiences, I hold space to honor different parts of you that have served as wise and courageous protectors. While acknowledging each of them, I also help you deconstruct and reconstruct new perspectives that will better serve you moving forward.

No one likes to be judged or criticized, and neither do I. We can only explore deeper, true selves when we “feel” safe, not merely when we “think” we are safe. I strive to create a space where you feel secure, so that together we can find your authentic adult Self that embraces this precious life. It’s such an honor and privilege to be part of your journey, and I’m so glad you are here!

ABOUT

Friend, Wife, World Adventurer, Food Enthusiast, Amateur Uke Player, Nature Lover

Growing up, my family’s mantra was always ‘be thankful and be a servant to others”. Along with my inherent curiosity and love for connecting with others, this eventually led me to my favorite career: being a counselor.

Born and raised in Japan, I was always curious about the world beyond my reach. In my late teens, I went to Hawaii to volunteer with preschoolers, and that experience sparked my interests in further family work in the U.S.. Although families come in many forms, I’ve always valued the power of family and attachment, which has been my guiding star throughout my career. I’m a work in progress, but the people who have supported and loved me have shaped who I am today, and I strive to continue extending that love for those around me. Love and emotional safety are truly contagious across the globe!

Outside of work, my husband and I do volunteer work with internationals, and enjoy opening our house to many. No matter where I am, I always find myself being immersed into different cultures.
