Approach

Evidence-based, Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused.

I operate from the fundamental belief that everyone is doing the very best they can with the tools available to them. I see my role not as someone who "fixes" things, but as a collaborator who helps you unlock the capacity for change you already possess. I believe that every person has the potential to lead a fulfilling life, provided they have the right environment and strategies to get there.

My approach as a psychologist is grounded in evidence-based practice, ensuring that every intervention is supported by the best available research and clinical data. I work from a person-centered perspective, viewing you as the expert on your own life and fostering a collaborative, non-judgmental space where your unique experiences are prioritized.

Together, we work to identify and reshape patterns of thinking and behavior that may be holding you back and focus on solutions that help us identify your goals and the practical steps needed to achieve them.Central to this process is the use of comprehensive assessment and evaluation.

Rather than focusing solely on challenges, I utilize these tools to uncover your inherent strengths and psychological resources. This allows us to leverage what is already working to overcome what is not.

ABOUT

Sports Mom, Kind Heart, Wanna-be Traveler, Beach-lover

I’ve always been the person who looks for ways to sprinkle a little more kindness into the world. Even as a kid, I was a natural "helper" driven by a genuine desire to see people thrive and reach their absolute best. But I was also the one constantly asking why. I’ve always been fascinated by the mysteries of human nature—especially that universal struggle of why we sometimes do the things we do, and why it can feel so incredibly hard to do the things we know we should. That curiosity eventually led me to a career in psychology.

I earned my Master’s degree in clinical psychology from West Virginia University and spent years in private practices as well as a rural medical center. I continued to be intrigued by the "why" and I developed a deep love for assessment and evaluation. I returned to school to obtain an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from Marshall University. Yes, I’m both a WVU and Marshall graduate. I am my own “house-divided.” When I’m off the clock, my world revolves around my family.

Most of my "free" time is spent in the bleachers or on the sidelines, staying active with my two high schoolers and their sports schedules. It’s a busy season of life, and I wouldn't have it any other way! To recharge, there’s nothing I enjoy more than sitting on the beach soaking up the sun and listening to the sounds of nature. I also love visiting new areas and finding hidden gems in places I’ve never
been.
