Sarah "Beth" Stiles
Lifelong Learner, Appalachian Native, Second-Chance Believer, Nature-Based Healing Explorer
Areas of Expertise
Relationships, Military & First-Responders, Chronic Illness, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Trauma, Educational & Academic Concerns, and Domestic Violence.
Approach
Individualized, collaborative, evidence-based, strengths-based, patient-centered care.
I believe psychiatric care is not an algorithm. Good treatment starts with listening, understanding the individual, and building a plan together that reflects both clinical expertise and the unique needs of the person in front of me. I strive to create a space where patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care.
I work with children, adults, and older adults across a broad range of psychiatric conditions and believe meaningful treatment comes from thoughtful, individualized care. I am a modern practitioner of psychiatric medicine, grounded in evidence-based treatment while remaining open, curious, and responsive to the person not just the diagnosis.
Psychiatry can be life-changing when done well and not only for individuals, but for families and communities. I love this work, and I believe good psychiatric care can help people reclaim hope, restore function, and create lasting change.
ABOUT
I believe people are far more than a diagnosis. My passion is helping people understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and find a path forward, even during difficult seasons. With deep roots in Southwestern Pennsylvania and West Virginia, I feel a strong connection to Appalachian communities and the resilience, strength, and values they represent.
I am a lifelong learner with a deep interest in healing beyond traditional models of care, including nature-based therapies, landscape immersion, and the therapeutic value of time spent in the natural environment.
Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, walking, learning, teaching, community involvement, and exploring the restorative power of the natural world.
