About
Dr. Jude Black isn’t your typical therapist—she’s a straight-talking, trailblazing advocate for mental health, resilience, and owning your stuff. A West Virginia coal miner’s granddaughter and military spouse, she’s built a career on breaking barriers and making therapy accessible, practical, and real.
As the founder of E-Therapy Café, Appalachian Counseling Center, and the Appalachian Trauma & Resiliency Center, she’s been featured everywhere from Elle Magazine to the Pentagon. With expertise in trauma, relationships, and military mental health, Dr. Jude believes healing isn’t about staying comfortable—it’s about showing up, doing the work, and doing better.
