Approach
Collaborative and strength-based approach based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Humanistic Approaches
I believe that meaningful change starts with feeling genuinely seen and supported. As a psychologstpsychologist, I focus on building strong, authentic connections with my clients so we can tackle life’s challenges together. My style is warm and collaborative, but I’m not afraid to ask the hard questions or gently push you outside your comfort zone when it helps you grow. I want you to feel empowered, capable, and clear about who you are and where you want to go.
I draw from evidence-based practices like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), integrating these with a focus on reframing unhelpful thoughts, building resilience, and cultivating clarity. Whether we meet in person or through telehealth, my goal is to create a safe, empowering space where you feel heard, supported, and also challenged to grow. Together, we’ll tackle the fears, disappointments, and barriers that hold you back, crafting new narratives and practical tools for lasting change. My greatest privilege as a psychologist is to help you become the very best version of yourself.
ABOUT
Mega Nerd · Shower Singer · Cat Lover · Sister · Daughter · Friend
I’m someone who values and loves connecting deeply with others, including my two siblings and a few very close friends. I approach life with a natural curiosity, and my passion comes from my own personal experiences as someone who grew up in rural Appalachia.
Stories have always been one of the main ways I connect with people and with the world, whether I’m lost in a book, listening to someone share their own, or helping someone reshape the one they tell themselves every day. I approach life with genuine curiosity, a LARGE dose of humor, and a belief that even the hardest moments can be reframed to reveal new realities. I’ve learned that sometimes the biggest victories are the smallest shifts.
I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, from students trying to find their footing, young adults pushing through anxiety and self-doubt, and the many challenges that life can bring as we navigate through the world.
My greatest joy is watching my clients find clarity, calm the chaos with tools they have been given, and step into the best version of themselves.
When I’m not in session, you’ll probably find me reading a book, rewatching my favorite movie for the millionth time (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days), or spending time with my favorite people. I spend a lot of my free time with my new cat, whom I have named Drax after the Guardians of the Galaxy character. I genuinely think he is the light of my life.
