Client Centered, Collaborative with emphasis placed on the therapeutic relationship, Eclectic & Individualized

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and are in need of support, you’ve come to the right place.I believe in the importance of offering a non-judgmental, safe space for clients to embark on their journeys of self-discovery. As such, I promise to remain open minded, supportive, and offer feedback as needed. My clients dictate the content addressed in their sessions, I follow their lead.

During the therapy process, I assist clients with the discovery of their strengths, recognizing &  building support systems, and developing healthy lifestyles to set the foundation for success.

My theoretical orientation is CBT based – CBT-E, CPT, Mindfulness, Intuitive Eating, with a sprinkle of Psychodynamics. I also practice the Gottman Method in the context of couples counseling. Through years of experience, I learned that these models can be quite effective.

You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.

Dog parent, 80s nostalgia lover, mom, wife, artist, scientist, recovering goth, Halloween enthusiast, perpetual home renovator

I enjoy the simple things in life, spending time with my family during our weekly game night, watching movies, taking walks! I am especially close to my two Rat Terriers Jack and Cocoa, who sometimes like to make appearances in my virtual therapy sessions. To address the ‘elephant in the room’, yes, I was a goth kid and still enjoy the musical stylings of many 80s gothic bands/musicians!

I was born in Wisconsin, raised in Baltimore, and have lived in Florida on and off before settling in West Virginia about 25 years ago.
