Areas of expertise.

Psychological testing, LGBTQ+, Women’s Issues, Self-Esteem, Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, Dissociative Identity Disorder and Life transitions.

Approach.

Eclectic, collaborative, strength-based approach rooted in CBT and Person-Centered theories.

I am passionate about providing diagnostic clarity through psychological testing to help you find the answers you’re looking for. I am also an interactive, supportive, and (gently) challenging therapist. I enjoy lifting people up and providing encouragement to help individuals  be the best versions of themselves. There are a lot of ups and down in life and navigating those challenges on your own can seem a momentous task.  I focus on earning your trust so that we can grapple life’s difficult issues together. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a foundation, I integrate evidenced based interventions to customize a treatment that is both effective and tailored to you. My approach focuses on creating lasting change to help you live a more thoughtful, fulfilling, and rewarding life.

It is my goal to provide every individual or organization with resources, tools, and a collaborative treatment plan to help them reach whatever results they are desiring. I fuse ideas from different theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Intuitive Eating Principles, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness to create gentle and effective results.

This is your journey. I am merely meeting you where you are to help you achieve whatever goals you can dream up.

Future you is going to be so proud that you’re here.

Appalachian Life Enrichment Counseling Center

about.

Crotcheting amateur, girl gamer, reality TV enthusiast.

To quote one of my favorite movies, Mean Girls, “I’m not like a regular therapist, I’m a cool therapist.” In all actuality I am an incredibly nerdy, sometimes cringe millennial who spends entirely too much time on TikTok. I believe in looking at the world through a multi-cultural lens and using the resources available to show up for people to the best of my ability.

I have worked in homeless shelters, community mental health centers, hospitals, and private practice. I’ve had the pleasure of providing services to people from all walks of life, for all different kinds of needs. We all experience the struggles that come with being human and I commit to helping you walk along your individual path to wellness, whatever that may look like for you.

I hold the people (and animals) that I love very near and dear to my heart. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and I am thankful every day for my amazing partner who helps keep me on track. I am originally from the Chicago area and enjoy going back home to be with family a few times a year. I have a brand-new puppy named Dauber (like a bingo dauber), who is a mini goldendoodle/mini sheepadoodle mix and he sometimes likes to join me in therapy (don’t worry, he’s totally HIPAA Compliant). I also have a cat named Todd, who only sometimes likes me; I cherish the moments that I am on his good side. I have had my personal struggles just like everyone else- I would be honored to help you navigate through your life’s toughest moments
