I strive to be an integrative, collaborative, non-judgmental, supportive and empathetic therapist. My goal is to meet you where you are at and to support and encourage you to recognize and address barriers which may be holding you back. Therapy is a healing process and my role is to help you identify goals toward a greater sense of well-being.
Using person-centered approaches as a foundation, I integrate many effective modalities to recognize patterns, instill self-awareness and tackle life’s many challenges. As each individual and situation is unique, I pull ideas and techniques from theories such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. I believe that you are unique and that your therapy should be tailored to best fit you and your life experiences.
Although we cannot go back and change the challenges and pain from the past, we can take steps toward a brighter and happier future. It takes great courage to take the first steps toward change and I am honored to work with you.
Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength -Sigmund Freud

about.
Boy Mom, Dog Lover, Traveler, Deep Thinker, Coffee Lover, Napoleon Dynamite Enthusiast, Friend
From a very young age, I have known that my “calling” was to be a therapist. My own life experiences and lessons have not only pulled me toward this career but have also helped me to be a more passionate, understanding, non-judgmental and caring therapist. We all have a story to tell and I am not here to judge, but to help you discover your self-worth and inner-strength. We all deserve to live our most meaningful and fulfilling life and I am committed to working with you to get there.
In addition to counseling, I am passionate about spending time with my husband, my two sweet boys, friends, family, my Golden Retriever, Ellie, traveling, sleeping, laughing, coffee and pizza.
