Strengths based, client, centered, CBT focused approach with an emphasis on self-compassion.
I focus on exploring the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and behaviors and draw from various techniques to gently move you past stuck points, gain in sight, and create resiliency. I am an avid fan of animal therapy so, don't be surprise if Mia comes to greet you at the door! Mia is a chocolate colored, dachshund with a chunky belly and wagging tail. She is completely blind, but works hard each and every day to bring joy and comfort to those she works with. She has learned to adjust and adapt to her disability and most people have no idea she is blind.
I believe we are all on our own journey through life. We all experience ups and downs, unexpected changes and events we are not fully equipped or ready to handle. My goal as a therapist is not to change you. Nor is my goal to tell you what you need to do or give you advice. My goal is to help you find your footing in areas of life that are sometimes uneven, crumbling and scary. I will walk with you until you feel strong enough to continue on your journey with new skills and renewed strength.
My pledge to you is to meet you where you are, accept that you are the expert in your own world and be with you through the dark spaces in life. I believe that your therapy sessions are YOURS! You choose the focus areas and you set the pace. My job is to be a listener, a guide and a support.
I'm so excited to join you, hold space, and watch you grow!
Mental health care should be as common as going to see a doctor when you get sick and as comfortable as talking to your best friend. We all have stuff...but when we don’t have space to address the stuff it gets messy.

Step-mom, Dog-mom, Cat-mom. Kayak Fanatic, Humor Specialist, Nature Lover
My life has always been about the care of others (even the those of the four-legged variety). I love to be outside no matter the setting. I love to go kayaking, swimming , camping, hunting, fishing, gardening, and chilling in the hammock. I am an aspiring back-packer with grand dreams of long hikes, gentle breezes, and amazing views! I love playing with my fur-babies and watching my "special little guy" grow.
My experience includes children, adolescents, young adults, transitioning adults, and adult populations. I knew at a young age that "helping" was an inherent part of me when I started teaching Bible school at 12. I found my passion, the key was to harness it in a way that leveraged my talents and fed my soul. I fully immersed myself in youth camps, babysitting, and working in childcare centers. In my graduate programs I specialized with adult populations to expand my levels of competencies. Following graduate school, I focused on mental health crises involving children and adults. My crises work was the catalyst for me to create a county-wide children's crisis program. I have extensive experience in outpatient therapy, home therapy, community programing, school therapy, and coordination of care with a variety of service venues. Throughout my professional experiences, I have engaged with individuals, families, trauma survivors, college students, first responders, and many other human beings fighting for emotional freedom and new purpose. My number one goal is to help you lay down unnecessary baggage, repack the necessary, and begin to live FULLY in the present.
